Virgin Class Action

Large numbers of Australians have been taken for a ride. Big corporations like Virgin have deliberately manipulated us through something called ‘drip pricing’ on some of their mobile booking sites. They hide sneaky extra charges until the last stage of buying – relying on us having spent too much time and effort by then to be bothered to start the whole selection process again.

We think it’s misleading and unfair. The good news is that the Federal Court of Australia has made findings, and now there’s a way you can register an interest in this cause and potentially receive compensation.

Bannister Law is in the preliminary stages of investigating and launching a consumer class action against Virgin due to the ACCC action which resulted in the Federal Court ruling that Virgin are guilty of Drip Pricing (booking fee surcharges added at the end of the point of sale when you didn’t know about it upfront in the advertised price).

Bannister Law is committed to achieving the best possible outcome and the maximum possible compensation for affected consumers. By registering with us individually, we are better placed to note your interest and contact you further once the action commences.

Bannister Law has already retained some of the most respected legal minds in the country to act on the representative actions against Jetstar including Dr. Peter Cashman and Mr. Robert White.

If you have booked an airline ticket with Virgin Australia via a mobile device then you should register.

This action is for the class of all affected purchasers of flights where booking fee surcharges were applied through the Virgin Australia Airlines mobile site where the offending conduct of drip pricing took place. If, at the time, you were not informed of the additional booking charges until the end of the purchase you may be entitled to compensation.
